For the 4th of July, our family went with some lifelong friends to Quartz Lake for a camping trip for 5 days. We slept in RVs, (except Steven and David, they slept in a tent) and it rained every day but one. The day that it didn't rain we took 2 boats out on the lake and tried to catch fish! We caught one but it got away! David even got in the water while holding onto the side of the boat. He said it was pretty cold!
The lake was beautiful and had lily pads all over it. I don't think I've ever seen a real lily pad. They are actually quite beautiful!
Even though it rained, we enjoyed the company of our friends by playing games, cooking yummy food and 4-wheeling on a back road. It was a very fun 4th of July!
