Our trip to Denali

Our family took the train from Fairbanks to Denali for a 3 day vacation. It took 4 hours to get down there and the kids loved the train!
We were able to get on a shuttle bus and drive 4 hours out to see Mt. McKinley. We actually saw it! There were no clouds and it was beautiful! Rarely does it ever show it's face! The girls were able to earn their Junior Ranger badges while on this tour. It was fun for them to answer questions and explore things and then earn a badge.
We also went on a hike around Horseshoe Lake and saw lots of nature.
Steven was so worn out by all the fun we had that he couldn't even stay awake while eating his pizza. It was hilarious! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!
We've decided that every summer that we are in this beautiful state, we will be seeing some part of it. Even though the winters are long, dark and cold, the summers make it worth being here. Unfortunately, they are too short. But we will enjoy them while we can!
On the train ride home, the kids were so worn out, that it didn't seem as much fun for them to be on the train. We loved our trip and recommend it to anyone visiting!
